What this paper asks
Task 1 is a message — an invitation, a request, a reply. Task 2 is an article or a letter for a wider reader. Task 3 asks you to compare two points of view and take a position. Each task has its own word range, and the hour covers all three.

How it is scored
Our AI examiner marks each task against the TCF criteria and the paper is reported out of 20, which converts to NCLC. You get the mark per task with the reasoning, so you can see which task cost you the level.
What candidates get wrong
- Writing a beautiful task 1 and running out of time for task 3, which is the one that shows the highest level.
- Missing the word range. Under it you cannot show range; well over it you lose accuracy and time.
- Answering the topic instead of the instruction. The consigne names who you write to and what it must contain.
- Never re-reading. Two minutes of checking agreements and tenses at the end is worth more than two more sentences.
