Summerween is coming to an end, the days are getting shorter, Halloween is beginning to take over the stores, and horror fans everywhere starting to plan what the next two months will look like. This is the point when for horror fans, anticipation becomes part of the fun. We start building watch lists, we revisit old traditions, we argue about what counts as essential October viewing, we try to keep up with Shawn's Halloween list, And we even try to fit far more into the calendar than we should probably do as reasonable people,
but here at Hackerslash, we're even making that tradition. Summerween gave us this incredible season with the community, and now we're preparing for an even bigger stretch of reviews, new releases, games, watch parties, bonus episodes, and even daily content.
Some of it will take us back to the movies and franchises that shaped us as horror fans, and some of it will give us entirely new reasons to gather around the campfire. This week, we're giving you a preview of our 2026 spooky season.
