Bonjour dear listeners. In many countries around the world, March is Women's History Month. To mark the occasion, the Duolingo French podcast is revisiting some of our favorite stories from women trailblazers across the Francophone world.
Today we'll feature an episode from September 2021 about Matina Razafimayefa, a university student who grew up on the fourth largest island in the world, Madagascar. Metina knew that in Madagascar, education is widely inaccessible, and she felt lucky to have the chance to go to college.
But she couldn't shake off her frustration about the fact that so many kids in her country didn't have the same opportunities. So at 19, she took action. Listen to find out how.
