Welcome to Inspire and Move. The show that inspires you to create, connect, and grow. I'm going to bring you meaningful conversations, aha moments, and all the motivation you need to up-level every part of your life.

I'm Ali Aruida, founder of Inspire and Move, and your personal hype girl. I've gone from fashion school to celebrity stylist, to corporate marketing, to brick and mortar entrepreneurship with my husband. Each time learning incredible lessons, how to pivot, reimagine, and implement the steps

to become successful. I'm passionate about inspiring others to live their best life. A life of joy.

We have the power to design a life that we love, because life is too short not to. The best part is that you weren't meant to do this alone. If you feel like you were meant for more,

let me write shotgun with you and together. Let's get you to where you want to go. Hi everyone, and welcome to a joint episode. Highly requested, but we weren't expecting

we were third guests. Sorry. Are you guys doing the podcast? I'm like, what are you laughing at?

What are you laughing at? What are you laughing at? I started talking. Because this is a little unconvention, right?

I'm just kidding. I'm okay. Welcome to the community show at the inspired move show. But what are the things that so funny is we get here.

We're recording today with video mat and the groany mat here. For those who have listened to the other episode, I just did it together. That was a bagger.

And Ali, we walk in it. Ali goes, Christina, do you want to interview mat? I'm like for your podcast and so then we bully Dally to be part of it now all three of us are on the podcast Amazing. Yeah, we didn't want to be a part of it now. We are all apart guys. I'm just gonna say I think that this one's gonna be like chart topic

Sorry Ali Xenia I Okay, we are gonna tell I think we're gonna do a few episodes Right guys, yeah Weird well we have to have about rosé by the end, but we're gonna do a first one about imposter syndrome

which is something that I think a lot of people always ask, as well, especially as we grow in our businesses over the last few years, we were kind of brainstorming things to talk about and what to bring to people. I know this is something that people really, really struggle with in growing their business.

Oh my gosh, and I think even also just the evolution of even you look at, for Matt and myself that we, well, we met in the corporate world of luxury automotive. So those are two very different identities compared to where we are today as entrepreneurs. And we are in a brick and mortar space, but it's also very heavily led by service and we're a luxury gem

So still kind of in that luxury space, but I will never forget June 1st 2019 that was day one owning benchmark and I remember sitting in the office being like Great how does one run a gem I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm there free chat GPT too

Yeah, yeah, 100% of us and just trying to understand like what do I do? How do I do I do this? Was this a good investment? Should should we have done this? And then that you know, snowballed for a couple months later, a couple months later, and here we are almost seven years later and have figured it out,

but they're still in Poster syndrome along the way. Probably. How about you? Did you feel that going from, you know, the Porsche world in sales to the transition entrepreneurship? I mean, you can probably make it argument that one feels like an in imposter multiple times a year.

Yeah, right. I think, especially if I'm going to speak candidly about the three of us, we are not opposed to doing things we haven't done before,

trying things we haven't done before, right? And a lot of the times, they end up being great things. But that's not to say that the first however, many weeks or months leading up to it,

you're thinking to yourself, this probably isn't aligned with me because who the hell am I to think that I should can be successful at this time. And then you do it, right? And that's probably the one through

line with any successful anything. Entrepreneur or otherwise is you have to at least be willing to take the first step. Maybe to fall in your face and to be embarrassed. But I find the way to get over it, what get through it a little bit easier is to make some sort of small move towards it. And you kind of, you do weaponize it almost. What do you first step will be for some closest

into something like, okay, I'm about to make a big move, there's something going on in my life that I'm excited about. But I'm feeling that I can post a search syndrome, maybe it's like getting into a new room, it's joining a mastermind. It's going to a blue days game with a whole bunch of new friends. Nice. Learning how that game's played.

Yeah. You know what? Guys, Matt, so learning so much about the blue days. You're going to try on a sport.

Yeah. But what would you say to somebody who is like maybe coming up on that, and maybe some tangible tips that they can take? I think even what you said about, you know, getting in a room, joining a mastermind, really tapping into borrowing the belief from somebody else. And whether that is, and Matt and I were just talking about this on a different episode of borrowing the belief from your partner.

If you are blessed to have a wonderful partner in your life that you can borrow belief from them, and that they cheer you on and they believe in you fearlessly. Yeah. But if not, then getting into rooms with like-minded individuals and we also say this all the time, it could also be a gym. We see so much of that magic happen in the walls of benchmark. Yeah. And that's a gym. People are coming to better themselves every

day or five times a week. But maybe you do need to borrow belief sometimes or you're getting ready to do it. Have you set a squat and you're not sure if you can do it. And you have that imposter syndrome and you're going to borrow belief from somebody else that's doing a lot pulled out, but they believe in you and being around those like-minded individuals that will
