Welcome to Inspire and Move, the show that inspires you to create, connect, and grow. I'm going to bring you meaningful conversations, aha moments, and all the motivation you need to up-level every part of your life. I'm Ali Arruda, founder of Inspire and Move and your personal hype girl.

I've gone from fashion school to celebrity stylist to corporate marketing to brick and mortar entrepreneurship with my husband, each time learning incredible lessons how to pivot, reimagine, and implement the steps to become successful. I'm passionate about inspiring others to live their best life.

A life of joy. We have the power to design a life that we love because life is too short, not to. The best part is that you weren't meant to do this alone. If you feel like you were meant for more, let me write shotgun with you and

together let's get you to where you want to go. Hey everyone, welcome back to the Inspire and Move podcast and the Wild Medicine podcast. It has been so long since Dr.

Michelle Paris and myself have had a podcast date. And today we are gonna bang out a bunch of them. How lucky for everyone listening and watching. I mean, so lucky for them.

I think maybe that you're gonna be the, my next podcast bestie, just like Christina Vartold. I secretly hoped you were gonna say. I hope so.

If we were to sit here and do this as interesting, this is a trick question, because you are Dr. Michelle Paris. But Christina and I have done podcasts over Negronis,

over Rosé, so what would be your bevy of choice? Don't you have a deal right now with like a non-alcoholic? Yes, the Ginny.

Okay, we'll have Ginny's with you. They're so delicious. They're adaptogenic drinks. So delicious.

Okay, we'll do mocktails for our next. Yeah, mocktails. Okay, I'll get those ready for our next episode. Thank you.

And then I'll also have to maybe make you a pinned friend. Yeah. my eye messages.

Can you please? Yeah, I have a couple spots available. I have a couple spots available. You know, can I just say, like I was in Oakville

for a really long time running a business and the warmth in Burlington is unparalleled. I just am so grateful for women in business like yourself that have just been so warm and inviting.

I just really am impressed. I really, really am impressed. It's so interesting that you say that because I actually just posted a reel

about collaboration versus competition, how when you're in the right rooms, people celebrate you and they wanna take content for you and they wanna follow you on Instagram

and connect with you or know what other events you're going to. And I actually think that's a really interesting conversation to have, which I know we had a complete plan

for this episode to be about health, but I think that could be episode two. Let's go to female partnerships, business, because you and I talk about this a lot

when we are just together in our own time personally. really do. That we have, I'd say like complimentary adjacent. Obviously we do a lot together in terms of your brick and mortar, our brick and mortar, but we just share the same energy in terms of how we like

to support each other and cheer each other on and refer each other. Yeah. And I think that is such a power move when it comes to building business as a female entrepreneur. What are your thoughts on that? Yeah, I completely agree. I think for a long time,

I was just saying to a masterclass that I was doing this morning to women in my wild collective circle is like, it's wild to me. It's 2026 that women still share with me in office that the most toxic work environment

is girl on girl crime, you know, like that it's this tear down toxic environment. And so I think the only way to counter what has been historically like a long time building

is to challenge the narrative by acting in the complete opposite way and being very consistent with that. And, you know, I, I think the reason I've been very, very intentional with my relationship with you is because you really are through and through in

this behind closed doors. I say the same things as I say to you, you are someone who is such a cheer leader and champion for others. You really want other people to win.

And that is such a nice wholesome feeling. And unfortunately it can feel rare at times. But collaboration is where the magic and potency happens, right? Like the potential of what can be possible when two minds meet and generate ideas together.

It just, it amplifies the impact. It has a major ripple effect and it's incredibly healing. I like, I think this tear down sort of energy is intergenerational. And I think we do actually, there's studies that show this,

but that we carry this sort of information in our genes. So unfortunately, like for a lot of us, we come by that naturally. And then if like, I grew up in an environment where women were like gossipy and, you know, derogatory.

And I just remember thinking like, this doesn't feel good. It feels awful after you engage in that sort of low vibe conversation. Like this just can't be. And so the Wild Collective was completely based on the same premise of like,

how can we support each other? How can we have conversations that matter? And the amount of businesses that have bloomed, the amount of entrepreneurship that happens because when we put ourselves in that environment, when we are in

those rooms, you start to really, especially when you feel like the small fish. Right? Like you're like, oh my gosh, if she can do it, so can I. And not only do you rewire your brain in, in the potential of that,

But when someone else kind of grabs their hand and like, you should meet someone. So you are that person. You're constantly messaging me with ideas. Like it's just, it's such a wonderful way.

Also, how do you want to like reflect on your day? How do you want to reflect on your year? Like don't you want to feel congruent and really, um, integral with the type of relationships that you're building with the type of business?

I like not that I ever held unhealthy female relationships intentionally in business, but
