Ask for the thing you actually need

Most of what gets built here was somebody's complaint first. Not a roadmap, not a survey — one person writing down the thing that was annoying them, and enough other people recognising it.

How to post one

   Press Create New Topic

   You need a free account — that is the only gate, and it exists so votes mean one person each.

   Write the problem, not the solution

   A title of at least a few words and a description of at least a sentence. You can format it; the editor takes headings, lists and bold.

   Add a category if one fits

   Optional. It helps the request find the people who have hit the same thing.

What happens to it

A new request starts as Under review, visible only to you, until it is approved onto the board. From there it is Open and can be voted on and discussed. If we pick it up it becomes In progress, and when it ships it is marked Completed. Rejected is used honestly rather than left to rot in Open — a no is more useful than silence.

• You can edit or delete your own request while it is Under review or Open.
• Once it is In progress the text freezes — the team is building from what it says, and rewriting it mid-build pulls the ground out from under that. Your channel from then on is the comments.
• Comments stay open on Open and In progress topics, so the author can keep adding to a frozen request.
• Only we can change a status. Nobody can quietly promote their own request.

Voting is the ranking

Any signed-in learner can vote a request up or down, and the board sorts by score. That is genuinely how the order is decided — a request with nine votes from nine different people is a stronger signal than any one person's opinion, including ours.
