My name is Kevin O'Keeffe, so today, OK, let's learn all about the MRI machine. MRIs, yes. Magnetic, resonance, imaging, say that a whole bunch of times. That's why we call it an MRI.
If you need to look at what's inside our body, you can't just do it with x-rays. Yes, the x-rays will take a look at our bones, but if you want muscles, tendons, ligaments, oh my goodness, If you want to see any different organs in our body to see if we have any disease, disorder, whether it's cancer, tumors, anything, we cannot do that unless we have an MRI machine.
So, okay, let's learn. This machine uses a powerful magnet. It uses radio waves and it uses a computer to take these detailed pictures inside of our body. They're obviously useful for everything that I've mentioned and particularly muscles. And here is why again I'm doing this episode. I had to go for an MRI. Yes, they looked at my x-ray and up you gotta go for an MRI. This
