Welcome to the new Books Network. Welcome to People's and Things, where we explore human life with technology. I'm Lee Vinsil. Hey everybody, here's a little special episode of People's and Things.
It's a short talk I gave called Accounting for Computers or Why We So Badly Need a New social and economic history of everyday digital technology use. It's a topic I've been thinking about for a long time and it's something I will be exploring in future work and in conversations with friends and colleagues.
I gave this talk at the Jefferson Scholars Foundation in Charlottesville, Virginia at an event featuring a great group of historians and science and technology studies scholars. The event was organized by Jacob Brugman, a very fine and promising young scholar who is already doing great work.
