Hello, hello, Art Curious listeners and longtime subscribers. It's been almost a year, a year, since I essentially shut down this podcast. And while I am not dropping back into your feed today to bring the show back, I know, I know, but bear with me here, I do have a few really fun announcements to share,
the most important of which will, I'm sure, shed a little bit of light onto the main reason why I retired my audio show a while back. And that is because I have spent the better part of the last few years working on a new book, and it is now available for pre-order. Yes, you heard me.
This July, Bloomsbury will be releasing my new book. It's called The Club, where American women artists found refuge in Belle Epoque, Paris. This is a deliciously entertaining, never-before-told history of a residence for American women artists in Paris from 1893 to 1914. And you heard that right.
That was the opening. The rest of the episode (9 min) is in the player: every word clickable, with translation, saved words and flashcards.
