This week, Negin uses her lamb kebab to school us on campaign finance reform. (Can you tell she's a former policy advisor?) This episode originally aired on February 19, 2018, and was produced by Dan Pashman, Anne Saini, and Peter Clowney. For today's reheat, we're sharing my first ever interview with Nagin Farasad. She's been on the show again since. Nagin is a great guest and also one of my favorite people. She's a comedian, writer, filmmaker, actor.
What I love about Nagin is that she's one of these very rare people who is so incredibly sharp on very serious issues and also incredibly funny and manages to mix those two things and go back and forth effortlessly. She does that on her podcast, Fake the Nation, where I've been lucky enough to be a guest
a few times and in so much of her other work. And you're going to see Nageen's ability to weave serious issues and comedy and food in this episode because we're going to talk about everything from campaign finance reform to her favorite foods growing up in Southern California.
