With an update from CK News Today, I'm Tamara Thornton. This news is brought to you by AutoMotion, 505 Richmond Street in Chatham. York 1 has formally withdrawn its court application about local planning requirements for its proposed project in Dresden. The municipality received a formal notice about it yesterday.
The court case was not about whether or not the proposed landfill and waste processing plant would go forward. It was about whether local zoning requirements apply or not. Chatham-Kent believes this means York One will now proceed through the usual municipal planning approval processes, meaning council will have a final say.
The municipality says it will continue to update the public as new information becomes available. Chatham-Kent believes are warning residents not to approach Mason Jenkins if he is spotted in the area.
That was the opening. The rest of the episode (3 min) is in the player: every word clickable, with translation, saved words and flashcards.
