Hello there, I'm Blessing Adirabak, and here's what's coming up for you on today's edition of Focus on Africa. We hear heart-breaking accounts of survival after a boat carrying migrants from Ethiopia capsized off the coast of Djibouti.
I left my country with my younger sister, and she died at the scene. There were 305 people on the boat and it capsized just minutes after it left the coast. We managed to jump off the boat and survive. And a new UN study links young people's mental health struggles to challenges including HIV,
poverty, adolescent pregnancy and substance use. We explore how safe spaces and peer support are helping them cope. I realized that yes, I had the information at school about what I'm supposed to do, I should report to an adult, but then why didn't I do that?
