Welcome to r slash am I the jerk, where Karen steals $10,000 worth of toys. My girlfriend's mother stole my $10,000 Transformers toy collection, plus two year update. My relationship with my girlfriend's mother recently turned sour after she took my Transformers
toys from my flat to give to her grandson. She has refused to return them, insisting that someone in their 20s shouldn't have toys in their flat. The issue is that these are collectibles, not just toys.
Many of them date back to the 1980s, and their combined value is roughly 10 to 11 thousand dollars. I haven't gotten them appraised yet, but that's the figure I'd put down if I report the theft.
