Notes
Je veuxis blunt;Je voudraisis polite. Ordering withJe veux un cafésounds rude — alwaysJe voudrais. Seepolitesse.vouloir que+ subjunctive when the subject changes:Je veux que tu viennes. English uses an infinitive — "I want you to come" — which does not exist here. This is a structure you must build consciously. Seesubjonctif-declencheurs.vouloir diremeans "to mean":Qu'est-ce que ça veut dire ?
