Set phrases

  • s'intéresser à

    to be interested in

  • ça m'intéresse

    that interests me

Notes

  • The structure is inverted compared with English. English makes you the subject — "I'm interested in music"; French can make the thing the subject — Ça m'intéresse, literally "that interests me". Both exist, but Ça m'intéresse is the commoner spoken form.

  • The reflexive takes à: Je m'intéresse à la musique.
