Hi everyone and welcome to episode 343 of the Medieval Podcast. I'm your host Danielle Sibulski. The medieval period is well known for several large-scale and horrific persecutions, especially ones based on religious grounds.

Prosecutions like these don't just come out of the blue, so if we're going to understand them, and hopefully prevent them, we have to dig deep into the cultural ideas and purport the justifications that they spring from.

That was the opening. The rest of the episode (51 min) is in the player: every word clickable, with translation, saved words and flashcards.
