Podcast audio and transcripts

FlexiLingo helps people learn languages from publicly available podcasts. We do not host or redistribute podcast audio. Episodes are played from the publisher’s own feed, and every episode page links back to the original show.

For language learning we generate machine transcripts of spoken audio. On public episode pages we show only a short excerpt of that transcript — roughly the first ten minutes at most — alongside a link to the source. The excerpt exists so learners and search engines can tell what an episode covers before listening.

Transcripts are produced automatically and will contain errors. They are not authorised or endorsed by the publisher, and should not be treated as an official record of what was said.

Requesting removal

If you own the rights to a podcast, an episode, or any other material on FlexiLingo and you want it removed, email legal@flexilingo.com with the subject line Takedown request.

You do not need to prove infringement or send a formal legal notice. If you are the rights holder and you ask us to remove something, we will remove it. We would rather take content down than argue about it.

To help us act quickly, please include:

  • the URL(s) on FlexiLingo you want removed, or the name of the show if it is all of them;
  • what the material is;
  • confirmation that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them;
  • a way for us to reach you.

We aim to action requests within 3 business days. Removal covers the transcript excerpt, the episode page, and where requested the whole show, and we also stop transcribing future episodes of that show.

Opting a show out entirely

Publishers who never want their show processed can tell us once and we will exclude the whole feed permanently, including episodes published later. Email the same address with the feed URL.

DMCA

If you prefer to send a formal notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, send it to the same address. A valid notice should include a signature (physical or electronic) of the rights holder or their agent, identification of the work, the URL of the material, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised, and a statement made under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act.

We will respond to valid notices, and we accept counter-notices from anyone whose material was removed in error.

Other content

The same process applies to anything else on the site — images, text, user submitted decks, or community posts. If something of yours is here and you want it gone, email us and it will be removed.
