The tool aimed to help applicants act faster in the competitive job market. There's a problem with that, though. The automated rollout triggered immediate friction with employers because many job boards and recruiting platforms charge employers
based on application volume, just like Indeed does. Hiring teams express frustration over being billed for candidates submissions that were generated by automated tools rather than intentional human-reviewed applicants. So instead, now Indeed will be redirecting the idea towards a review-first model
