Living in the age of social media, as we do, we've all had the experience of a certain video or post or meme that keeps popping up in our feeds again and again. A lot of these recurring posts may be slightly funny or annoyingly political or something that makes us want to roll our eyes.

One such post that seems to come up in my feet a lot shows a black and white photo of a man in an old timey suit with a simple caption. This is Willis Carrier. He invented the air conditioner.

Let's all take a moment and give thanks. Unsurprisingly I tend to see this meme more often in the summer and almost exclusively being shared by my Arizona friends. And unlike a lot of memes, this one is true.
