Pamela discussed the moment during her appearance at the Venice Film Festival at the Amfahr Gala, where she was awarded with the award for courage. She told the audience her doctor said it was a

death sentence and that she only had around 10 years to live when she was diagnosed in the late 90s and that it turned her life inside out. Thankfully in 2011 a cure for the viral infection was found and Pamela was hep C3 by 2015.
