Roughly 4 billion people, and that's about half the world's population, live under highly stressed water conditions at least one month out of every year. And yet, in many of those same places, when the rain finally does come, it comes too hard, too fast, and floods the very communities that were rationing water weeks earlier.
That paradox, too little, then too much, sometimes both at once, is at the center of today's conversation. I'm very pleased to be joined by the team at Walter P. Moore, whose new stewardship report Living with Water looks at engineering not as a way to control water, but as a way
to steward it, designing systems that work with water's natural behavior instead of fighting against it. Very pleased to have this team here today because it's something that is an important topic that the world is wrestling with.
