Bonjour dear listeners. In many countries around the world, March is Women's History Month. To mark the occasion, the Duolingo French podcast is revisiting some of our favorite stories from women trailblazers across the francophone world. Today we'll hear an episode from July 2021. It takes us to Haiti to meet a woman named Lune Ville. She's one of the
island's most respected public health experts. When a devastating earthquake hit Port-au-Prince in 2010, Lün immediately thought about 38 children she knew were at the city's general hospital. Like nearly every person in Haiti, Lün Ville remembers exactly where she was on the afternoon of January 12, 2010. She was attending a meeting of public health experts in the island's capital, Bordeaux Prance.
