Welcome to the Hacker's Cache, the show that decrypts the secrets of cybersecurity one bite at a time. I'm your host, Kaiser Clark, and in this episode, I'm going to talk about the honest truth, why your cybersecurity resume is getting ghosted. And before we dive into why your resume is getting ghosted, I do have an update for you guys. For those of you who have been following my journey from the past few episodes, you know that I've been on a job search.
And I have talked about burnout. I've talked about getting ghosted a little bit in previous episodes. And I have officially accepted a new job. I accepted the role two weeks ago, and I've actually been working in that role for a week now. So my job search is over. It lasted just under two months.
So that is way above the average. Previously, in previous years, it was like three to four months to find a job. And I think the current job market is like six months to find a job. So I'm like way above the average in terms of how long it took me to find a role.
