Hello everybody, I'm Mike Wendland and this is the Monday RV News Podcast Edition for October 12, 2026. Before I get to the news, something personal. Most of you know me as the RV guy, but before RVing I spent 40 years as a reporter in Detroit
at both big daily newspapers and at the local NBC affiliate. And I have written a novel called The Tenth of Ave. It's about a reporter named Ray Mercer who finds himself sent back in time to Jerusalem in the year 70 as the Roman army closes in on the city.
And Ray does what reporters do. He asks questions, he chases the story, and he has to decide what he's willing to risk to get right. Now, if you want to meet Ray first, I wrote a free short story called The Second Source.
