Have you ever tried speaking out loudly inside a cave or a tunnel? What happened to your voice? Do you know what we call that? Hello everyone, I'm Kathleen Pelly. Welcome to Journey with Story.
Of course, I'm sure most of you know that when we hear our voice repeating our words back to us inside a cave or a tunnel, we call that an echo. Today's episode includes two short tales from the Greek myths, and one explains the origin of our word echo and the other introduces us to a Greek nymph called
syrinx. Greek nymphs were sort of mini gods usually found in trees, mountains, rivers or caves and these versions of the Greek myths come from the Dolores Book of Greek myths. And our shout out this month is a huge thanks to a wonderful mama in Florida who recently wrote to tell me. We just came across your book in Venter McGregor at the library and fell in love with the pictures at first sight.
