The Survey
The city's survey has two options, and both of them close the centre. Marco wants to write NO in capital letters. Lina shows him a better way: choose one option, and use your reasons to change it. Then the whole neighbourhood starts answering. Season 1, Episode 9 · CELPIP Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions.

Two doors
The survey was on the city's website, under a photo of smiling people in a park that was not in Riverbend. It had a short introduction, five questions about age and neighbourhood, and then the only question that mattered.
The future of the Riverbend Community Centre site. Please choose the option you prefer and explain your choice.
Option A: Sell the site to Northline Homes. The new residential building would include a community room on the ground floor (approximately 60 square metres), managed by the developer, available for rent by community groups.
Option B: Sell the site to Northline Homes. Current programs (seniors' lunch, newcomer classes, youth sports) would be moved to the Mill Creek Library branch, 3.5 kilometres away, depending on available space.
Under the options there was a large empty box. Above the box: Please explain your choice (maximum 300 words).
That was it. No option C. No "keep the centre." Two doors, and both of them led outside.
