Where FlexiLingo Works: Supported Platforms and Links
FlexiLingo is available as a browser extension (Chrome and Firefox) and on the web. Hereβs where it works todayβYouTube, BBC, CBC, Spotify (with transcript)βplus our web dashboard and analysis tools. Weβll support more platforms soon.
1What FlexiLingo Does
FlexiLingo helps you learn languages (especially English) by turning real content into interactive lessons. With our browser extension, you get clickable subtitles, CEFR levels on words, one-click vocabulary saving, and spaced repetition. On supported video and audio sites, one click opens FlexiLingo Studio so you can study without leaving the page.
On the web, FlexiLingo also offers text and image analysis: paste text or upload an image to get vocabulary, difficulty, and learning suggestions. All of this syncs with your account so you can review on any supported platform.
2Overview: Where FlexiLingo Works
Today FlexiLingo is available in three main ways: (1) as a browser extension on Chrome and Firefox, (2) on specific content platforms where the extension activates (YouTube, BBC, CBC), and (3) on our website for dashboard, text analysis, and image analysis. Below are the direct links and short descriptions for each.
3Chrome Extension
Install the FlexiLingo extension from the Chrome Web Store to use it on YouTube, BBC, and CBC. The extension adds a button on supported video and audio players; clicking it opens FlexiLingo Studio with interactive subtitles and learning tools.
Also works on Chromium-based browsers (e.g. Edge, Brave).
4Firefox Extension
FlexiLingo is also available for Firefox. Install it from Firefox Add-ons to get the same features: Studio on YouTube, BBC, and CBC, interactive subtitles, and vocabulary saving.
Install FlexiLingo for Firefox
Same experience as Chrome; your account and decks sync across browsers.
5YouTube
FlexiLingo works on YouTube. When youβre watching a video, the FlexiLingo button appears on the player. Click it to open Studio: youβll see interactive subtitles, CEFR levels, and you can add words to your deck. We support most YouTube videos; when subtitles are missing, we can use AI-generated transcription where available.
6BBC
FlexiLingo supports BBC content: BBC News, BBC iPlayer, and BBC Sounds. On pages with a supported video or audio player, the FlexiLingo button appears. One click opens Studio so you can study with interactive subtitles and save vocabulary. This is especially useful because many BBC programmes donβt have built-in subtitles; FlexiLingo adds a learning layer on top.
7CBC
FlexiLingo works on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation). As with BBC, when youβre on a CBC page with a supported player, the FlexiLingo button appears. Open Studio to get interactive subtitles, word-level difficulty, and one-click saving to your deckβgreat for Canadian English and exam prep like CELPIP.
8Spotify (with transcript)
FlexiLingo supports Spotify for podcasts and episodes that have transcripts. When you're on a Spotify web page (open.spotify.com) playing content with available transcripts, the FlexiLingo button appears. Click it to open Studio and study with interactive subtitles, CEFR levels, and one-click vocabulary saving. Support applies to episodes where Spotify provides transcript; not all episodes have this feature.
For a full guide on how it works, how to use it, and tips, see Learn English with Spotify Podcasts on FlexiLingo.
9Web Dashboard and Tools
FlexiLingo supports Spotify for podcasts and episodes that have transcripts. When you're on a Spotify web page (open.spotify.com) playing content with available transcripts, the FlexiLingo button appears. Click it to open Studio and study with interactive subtitles, CEFR levels, and one-click vocabulary saving. Support applies to episodes where Spotify provides transcript; not all episodes have this feature.
